A world away from the stale setting of a chain hotel, you’ll be staying in a lush forest surrounded by the world’s most active volcanoes and stunning tropical beaches.
We have various choices for accommodations, all unique, elegant, and charming. Depending on your group size, choose from the historic Dillingham Residence, six cottages, five newer bungalows, or any combination. Our staff takes pride in bringing the aloha spirit to every moment of your stay, and your group will come away inspired by the beauty of the Big Island.
Rainforest Retreat – Accommodations for Your Group
Far from Honolulu’s high rises, Volcano village is serene and laidback, a paradise in the shadow of Kilauea. When you drive through the tree-covered canopy and enter our property, you’ll see the Dillingham Residence. The centerpiece of our estate, dating back to 1931, this historic house has three different suites. Your group can rent all three suites and stay under the same roof while still having the privacy of separate sleeping arrangements. Gather around the fireplace in the spacious 600-square-foot living room area for drinks, conversations, and team-building in a relaxed setting.
Our rainforest bungalows are another appealing option for your retreat. The bungalows are the newest additions to our property, with modern touches like heated floors, private entrances, and classy decor. If your group or team is on the smaller side, rent two adjoining bungalows, Poliahu and Pele, which combine to sleep up to six people. After some daytime adventure at Volcanoes National Park just a couple miles away, retreat to your private porch and brainstorm with your group/team around the firepit.
Our six cottages have historical roots, some dating back to the early-mid 20th century, each decorated with a particular style and touch. Some, like Akaka Falls, can sleep up to five people, while others, like Rainbow Falls, sleep two. Take a day trip to one of several nearby waterfalls (after which the cottages take their names), grab dinner as a group in town, and return to your private rooms for the evening.
