Hilo Municipal Golf Course

If you’re a casual golfer and looking for a day on the greens, check out Hilo Municipal Golf Course, the only completely public golf spot on the big island. Though this course may lack the prestige of others you’ll find on the Big Island, it still provides a memorable experience. Its inland location protects it from the ocean winds and lends to its more casual environment. Hilo Municipal offers all the basic amenities like rental equipment and golf carts, an onsite restaurant, and lessons. Open daily from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (with the exception of Christmas and New Year’s Day), you can plan a round of golf totally at your own leisure.

Big Island golf course: Naniloa volcano

While in Hilo, you can also check out the Naniloa Volcano Golf Course. This relaxing 9-hole golf course is both enjoyable and affordable.
